Cleaning Tips
To make cleaning hard wood floors easier, here are some practical cleaning tips you can use.
1) Start by sweeping the floors with a soft bristled broom. This will help to remove any dirt and debris.
2) Don’t wait to vacuum once a year. By vacuuming at least once or twice a week, you prevent buildup from happening, which makes it easier to clean in the future.
3) Dry off water immediately. Water is one of the worst elements you can introduce to wood, as it could cause it to expand and enlarge.
4) Refrain from wearing heavy shoes or high heels on the wood surface as it can easily dent or scratch.
5) Carry instead of dragging furniture across the floor.
6) The occasional waxing and buffing will do wonders for wood floors.
7) In places where there is a lot of foot traffic, use area rugs to dampen the wear and tear.
